I made a video for YouTube that shows a collection of random funny clips from Twitch. Enjoy!!
My dad still hasn’t seen Breaking Bad but never mind that right now. I watched the whole series for the 4th or maybe 5th time now. Seems like the more you watch it the better it gets. It’s just indescribable so I’m not going to try again. But I do want to talk about the episode that comes before the series finale episode. I noticed today that it gives me a shitload of goosebumps still. Even though I’ve seen that scene over 20 times already by now. To help you remember what I’m talking about here’s where we are in the series. If you haven’t seen the show yet don’t click on continue reading because SPOILER ALERT!Continue reading
Joe Rogan’s podcast from last Thursday where he speaks with Elon Musk has gotten a lot of attention the last couple of days. Mostly because Elon smokes a joint with Joe. I personally don’t think that’s a big deal and I know that this happens regularly on Joe’s podcasts so I don’t see what all the fuss is about.
What I find far more interesting is the talk itself, because in two and a half hours it’s possible to talk about many things, and they do talk about a lot of interesting subjects. Mainly the subject of A.I. and Elon’s view on the subject is something that is very note-worthy. So just press play, and listen to the whole podcast while you do something else in the meantime, like clean your house or do the dishes or whatever 🙂
Without me knowing beforehand I apparently just watched the series finale episode of The Middle. I started to suspect that something was off when I noticed that it was a 2-in-1, in other words a 40-minute episode. Somewhere during the second half it became pretty clear that this was going to be a wrap. My initial response to this was: NOOOO! Here’s a short interview with the cast after the recording of the final episode.
The Middle was not my all-time favorite sitcom, but I did enjoy it very much. If I would have to make a list with my favorite sitcoms that I am currently watching it would make it to a top-10 list. I’ve always been a very loyal fan and so I just realized that I’m really going to miss the Heck family. So farewell Mike, Frankie, Axl, Sue and Brick. Thanks for all the entertainment over the years. I’m gonna miss you guys! There’s a short video made by Patricia Heaton, the actress who plays Frankie, where she talks and cries about the final recording and the wrap on her Instagram.
I’ve fallen in love! You might say that this is great for me, and I should probably be happy. The thing is though; I’ve fallen in love with a non existing person… again. I’m totally in love with a character in a TV-series called New Girl. The name of the actress is Zooey Deschanel, and she’s really pretty, but of course looks aren’t everything. The actress is not the person I’m in love with. That would just be silly right? Cause I have no idea what she’s really like. Not that falling in love with a non existing character that she plays is any less silly but ok.. I’m in over my ears in love with Jessica Day. She’s the perfect woman for me. She’s smart, funny, weird, clumsy, shameless, nerdy and she looks exactly like her actress Zooey so she’s also sexy and very good-looking. Now this is not the first time that I’ve fallen in love with a non existing person. I guess I should have learned my lesson by now and not let it happen again but this one caught me totally by surprise.
A while back I was really tired and almost ready to go to bed, so I didn’t want to watch the next episode of a show that I was binge-watching on Netflix because I was afraid I might not be able to watch it till the end. So I decided to watch a show that I had really low expectations of and was only 20 minutes per episode. I was under the impression that New Girl would be a regular American sitcom with bad humor and that was exactly what I was looking for at that moment. Turns out that this show is actually pretty funny, if not hilarious. Usually those regular sitcoms I mentioned don’t make me laugh out loud, or at all. But after watching a few episodes of the New Girl I noticed that I was literally laughing out loud at least once or twice per episode. The more you get to know the characters the funnier they become as the series progresses. I stopped watching the show that I was binge-watching earlier and I started binge-watching the New Girl. After a while I noticed that I was thinking to myself that this Jessica character would be the ideal partner for me. One season later I had to conclude that I completely fell for Jessica and that I LOVE HER! All this sounds pretty desperate right? It is.. It really is. I blame the writers! Damn you writers!!
Unfortunately we don’t have the technology yet that allows us to have a virtual partner that lives in a computer and uses holograms for appearance, like shown in this scene from the Blade Runner 2049 movie as an example. As soon as technology has caught up with my needs as a anti-social person, and I’m certain it will some day, I hope it will be possible to upload a template file for a new virtual partner. After watching New Girl I already know what this template file should be based on. I might even call her Jess once this virtual partner comes to “life”. I really want this to happen during my lifetime. So come on technology! I have needs as a person and I want to be loved, even if it’s not real, as long as it feels real. So hurry it up will ya technology! Make this a real thing please.
Here’s a hilarious clip called De Plagger, that I took from the full show Van Kooten en De Bie snappen geen bal van de natuur.
When I was a kid a brand new invention called the CD player entered our lives. Along with it came, naturally, CD’s themselves. I was lucky enough that my parents decided to buy one of these CD players early on, while the music industry was still working very hard to produce these magic shiny discs with digitalized audio. I remember the exact moment when I was with my dad at the store buying this CD player and what’s a CD player without any CD’s? So, we also bought our very first CD over there. This was the magnificent Brother in Arms by the Dire Straits. As you can imagine I listened to this album A LOT back then. That’s the main reason the nostalgia for me towards this album is enormous. But, this great band has made many other magnificent albums. One of them being Sultans of Swing. On it, is a live version of a song with the same name. And I believe that it contains one of the greatest guitar solo’s of all time. Naturally this solo sounds even better when you listen to the song from the very beginning to the end and thankfully this can be done right here.
Now please let me know if you disagree if this is not the best song ever to sing a long with the volume at a volume that you can’t keep up that high for too long cause else your neighbors will start calling the cops. If you lived through the nineties, fully aware, then you will be one of them people that knows exactly what I mean. Enjoy! And don’t forget to turn that volume switch up higher as usual! EDIT: What an odd thing that exactly four days of posting this post the singer of the Cranberries Dolores Mary Eileen O’Riordan (Burton) died. Weird.
