When we celebrated our 25th year anniversary on November 29th, 2025, we managed to bring a handful of ancient versions of this website back online. Mainly for the purpose of digital preservation, just for fun, but also as a gimmick, and simply because we could. A purely accidental discovery of forgotten backups made this all possible. Below you will find the links to some of these prehistoric websites, with the oldest one dating back to 2001! Mind you that some functionalities are no longer working, especially java and flash content. Also, many outgoing links, especially on the weblog site, are dead nowadays. Unfortunately, proving the Dead Internet theory ↗ to become more plausible.

This was the very first website that ran on this domain name. Entirely made with Microsoft's Frontpage 2000. Brought online in November 2001, from a self-hosted web server, built from gathered parts.

The second website that ran on this domain. Again, mostly put together using Frontpage 2000. Some Java scripts no longer work, so some functionality is no longer there, unfortunately.
This weblog was the first ever dynamic website that ran here. It was powered by MovableType. Due to security risks, it doesn't run on this engine anymore, so all the functionality when it comes to administrating content no longer works, but the static HTML pages still work fine. Too bad that the majority of outgoing links are dead nowadays.

This temporary website was online for maybe three to four months. It was nothing special, as it was nothing more than just a simple, free HTML template I downloaded. Nothing to see here, please move along.
This simple, animated page was running on www.ustoopia.nl with just one function, to automatically forward all visitors to a WordPress website running at blog.ustoopia.nl. At some point, a migration took place, re-claiming the www domain, which you are currently visiting, and will hopefully visit again sometime in the future.

This interesting, single page ran for quite a while, during a period that I was unable to host anything from home. The numbers are in hexadecimal code, and when translated to English, it said some things, but nothing special.
We are still, after all these many, many years, hosting several classic game-servers. These include: Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike Source, Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena. The last two operate in regular mode, but the Counter Strike game servers run a very specific, exotic mod, that distinguishes them from any regular server. A little mod, called HookGrab, allows players to defy gravity, resulting in a unique form of game-play that is rarely found (anymore). This type of game-server has been our thing since 2005, give or take a handful of interruptions. Back then these servers became immensely popular, and managing the social aspect of the player-base, almost became a full-time job. But nowadays, not so much. In spite of that, we believe that keeping these servers running, actively contributes to maintaining the internet, for archival purposes.

Everybody is of course welcome to join any of these servers. I challenge you specifically to join the third one in the list below, a Counter-Strike 1.6 Server with a unique mod. No matter what server you want to join, be sure to bring a healthy amount of nostalgia with you! Let's play!
